Mule
Deer
Our Mule Deer hunts are mainly public land on U.S. forest.
We
offer archery hunts from Sept. 1st -30th and rifle from Oct 10th
- 24th . These seasons overlap with Elk, and Black Bear, giving
the hunters great combo hunt opportunity . Archery Mule Deer and
Elk is either sex and a nonresident can tag a Black Bear or a Lion
with there deer tag. Archery Mule Deer is a very challenging hunters
will sit tree stands and spot and stalk.
Our
rifle season takes place in the middle of the migration. Hunters
can expect to see large numbers of deer, however the bigger trophy
class deer seem to hide out in the high country until the first
part of November. We have 100% opportunity at buck deer.
Most
hunters want trophy class deer which is very hard to categorize.
Most years 80% to 90% of our hunters will get shots at four point
deer.
What makes this difficult is the common factors. With the migration
we may have hundreds of deer in an area one day and not any a day
or two later.
This
time of year roads become un-passable and trails slick and dangerous.
We will hunt out of a vehicle accessible camp not limiting our selves
for that reason. We will hunt out of trucks, ATV, horse back, and
foot.
The better prepared and in shape you are the better your odds for
success.
