Elk Hunts

We offer 2 different archery Elk hunts and 2 rifle Elk hunts.

Archery Elk runs through the month of September. Most years we have found the Elk get most vocal about the 15th -30th. This is when we offer 1 on 1 and 2 on 1 bugle hunts. These hunts are very exciting and action packed. However they are very physically demanding come in good shape ready to walk.

Our early season Elk hunts are from the 1st - 15th. We offer 1 on 1 to 4 on 1 group hunts. These hunts are primarily tree stand hunts. We have stands on wallows and trails. These hunts are very similar to a white tail rut hunt. Hunters will go in early sit all day and come out late. I fill pre rut wallow hunting is about the most productive way to bow hunt. You must be patient! In some cases we will use horses but hunters should be prepared to walk.

General Rifle Elk (Tags on Draw)

This hunt runs Oct 15th -24th. There are 300 tags for the region . This hunt runs with the deer hunt so hunters can combo there hunt. We have 100% opportunity most years at 5 point or better bulls. Hunters must apply for tags in May and reports are posted in mid July.

Premium Rifle (Tags on draw)

This hunt is Oct 1st - 9th . There are only 40 tags for the region. Hunting pressure is very light and Elk are generally still bugling . This is 100% opportunity at 5 point or better. This is a great hunt.
